To seek retreat from a noisy and ever demanding business world, a couple acquired a larger plot of land in the remote part of a mountainous region of Slovenia. There, they wanted to create a world of their own, where they could live their lifestyle in enjoy peace and tranquility.

Built completely from a natural materials like wood, clay, stone,…, the house is modestly designed from the inside and out. Beside the usual living spaces it also features a ski prepare workshop, a mudroom and an indoor sauna with fitness. The later are seamlessly connected with the living spaces, giving the house occupants a feeling of connection whatever they might be doing. Wherever meaningful, indoor extends out into the nature through three terraces – morning, main and fitness, each serving a different purpose.

A house is complemented with an artificial cave that features a carport, a garage, a small workshop, a woodshed and a vine cellar.

To round up the estate infrastructure there are also an outdoor sauna, a wooden deck above the natural swimming pond, a game feeding station and a running trail that crisscrosses the estate through the woods, bushes lands, glades and an orchard.
